"The Baby" is about a social worker named "Ann" who is investigating a weird family who all take care of a baby called "Baby", Baby is a 20 year old man who acts like a baby because his family force him not to learn anything (like walking, talking, getting turned on, etc.). Ann notices that they are always negative with Baby when it comes to her trying to teach him something, so then she decides to get Baby into a clinic for therapy but his mother disapproves because she feels Ann wants to take him away from her. Then when Ann goes to his Birthday Party, his sisters get her drunk and tie her up in the basement where they plan to kill her and make it look like an accident. Ann eventually gets out and takes Baby with her and from there the movie gets really weird because Ann has Baby all to herself now instead of Welfare (or whatever). "Why does she have him" you ask? Well that's what you find out in the end, and trust me, it will make you say "What the Fuck!"
This has to be the most disturbing and weirdest movie of 1973, it has a lot of awkward scenes and Baby is such a sad character. Some people will see this a cheesy movie because of the poster and plot but it's really not cheesy, it is a very serious movie. 8/10.
